英語の宿題（４）－１

月に4回もサマライズしてると、さすがに何かしらコツはつかんできました。

今回は、長くなってしまいますが、オリジナルの記事と紀猫作のサマリーを両方スペシャール！！

余計なインフォメーションを削除したり、聞きなれない単語を容易にしたり、長いセンテンスを切ったり。

聞き手が混乱しないように、工夫しております。

本当はいけないんだろうけど、アップルクランブルをアップルパイに変えてしまいました。

（映画字幕では、よく使われている手法なんですよー。）

 

紀猫ビュー

今のところ、スマホは持たないと決めています。理由は、、、一度持ったら手離せなくなるから。

従来型ケータイで間に合っているうちは、よしとしましょう。それ以上の便利さを求めればきりがないです。

Ｓｉｒｉ　も　Ｅｖｉ　も、パーフェクトなインテリジェンスで男も女も魅了するなんて、まったく鼻持ちなりません。

ま、別世界のオンナなので関係ありませんが、紀猫は天然の魅力で愛されてるやる～。

 

Sumarry:

Siri, the talking personal assistant that became an instant hit on the iPhone,

now has a British rival called Evi. Siri has often failed to be admired by British 

users.

Evi is able to look up UK businesses and maps. The Cambridge scientists created

her, and they say she is also better at recognising British accents.

Evi can translate when they speak Scottish, Welsh or Geordie accents.

Evi has been among the most popular applications in Apple's UK store.

It’s approaching half a million downloads worldwide in the three weeks

after it has been available.

 

Evi is described by her creators as "smarter than a search engine", because her software understands what you want to know. She really has

an artificial intelligence.

 

She was added the special database called True Knowledge. It’s all the time by scouring Wikipedia, Yellow Pages and other sources. She has a huge

 collection of 635 million facts.

 

One of True Knowledge founder says, "Evi can expect millions of

conversations at the same time."

 

Let’s compere Evi with Siri. "Siri doesn't really know things itself,

it calls out to other services. Evi knows the answer,

illustrates it with images, and you can ask follow-ups."

When you want to make apple pies, Evi shows a link to a recipe

 from Wikihow entitled "How to Make Apple Pies (with pictures)".

Siri simply asks you to search the web to get the recipe.

 

Evi can connect two references to respond the question. If you ask her,

 "who was the US president when the Queen Elizabeth II was a teenager?"

She works out by guessing two historical references both US and UK ,

then finds the answer.

 

She can also answer the philosophical question like the meaning of the life, the universe and everything. Her creator enjoys difficult questions.

 

However she has a weak point. She doesn’t yet know the weather. Because

the forecasts for the UK and North America will be added within the next few days.
